We are located twenty-five minutes from the State Fair of West Virginia, held each August.  Farmer's Day is in June of each year and the famous parade goes by the front porch. 

Home of the annual migratory bird count.  A strenuous, but brief hike will put you at eye level with hawks and eagles.  At night the sky is designated "dark sky".  You will see the stars shining bright and the universe clearly.

Moncove Lake State Park, which is 17 miles away, is a great haven for boating, fishing, swimming, and camping.  It also has a heated swimming pool.  Nearby Second Creek features a catch and release section.  The Greenbrier River and the Greenbrier River Trail are great for water and hiking activities. Outfitters, located in Lewisburg, can arrange float trips and shuttles.  Other attractions include the Potts Creek Rail Trail, Old World Libations, Greenville Mill, Gap Mills Cheese and More Store, the Alderson General Store, Quilt Trail, and scenic byways that meander through the countryside.

Nearby Lewisburg features fine dining, entertainment, and shopping.  We are also an easy drive to Peterstown, Ronceverte, White Sulphur Springs, and the Greenbrier Hotel.  Lots to do and see or do nothing and enjoy the peace and quiet.
